Our ride started at 7.30 without having our usual cook breakfast and coffee. The reason for not cooking is we were running short on water,we only have limited for our ride ahead, and absolutely no idea how far is the next supply. With the dirty cloths on and a sticky smelly bodies,we push on ..hopefully today ending is a nice bathe waiting for us.Still on route 9 along the sea coast, but by no means it is easy. This section of road is called Suhua ( means from Su'ao to Hualian) is by far the most dangerous and also the most beautiful parts in Taiwan. The view of rock cliffs and the Pacific ocean is enough to draw all the tourists including cyclist like us. We met quite a number of local cyclists, often in group with either a light saddle beg or backpack at the back, often we wave and say "Jiayu..Jiayu...",just short of stopping to chitchat.Towns that we passed is Tong'ao,Nan'ao,and Heping where we had spaghetti lunch at 7-11. After our stomach refill,we push on until we saw a nice rest stop, with toilet facilities and also we can charge our gadgets, there is a nice stream where i  am very happy to clean up while Tony was resting inside his tent.I had a lucky escape when taking a self timer shot,i accidentally slip and my butt was landed on the rock,it pain but luckily nothing serious to my spine.I cook instant noodle for dinner, giving a miss on my usual rice menu.

Fulung is a small town with a train station but surprisingly saw many local tourists. The town was full of cyclists and trekkers who came for the mountain trails and cycling path around the beach. The lady boss of the hotel we stayed told us there is a shorter and bicycle friendtuly road to Yilan with a 2.5km of old train tunnel converted to bike lane called Caoling. We had our usual breakfast before we start, following the small road at the left turn from the train station, soon we saw the tunnel,it was really a joy to ride on till we reach the end of it and back to the coastal road to Dali,Daxi,Toucheng,Luodong on route 9.the scenery was not what we expected, and we did not have many stops like previous days, moreover the traffic is quite heavy much to our liking.Very uneventful day and took very few pictures. By 2.30pm, our meter shows 65 km,with the sky not looking good,we decided to wildcamp after climbing about 200m to a rest stop where an empty grass land just ideal for us to call it a day. The mosquitoes seems to like Tony's blood than mine.

Today's highlight was the very tough climb from Rueibin to Jiufun, another very popular spot for the local as well as the oversea tourists, while we were hard cranking up, there were many tour and local buses sharing the same road with us too. There were many temples, old streets and off course, many hotels to cater for the tourists. Our 2 recumbents with our full loaded panniers caught many attentions with unbelievable looks. We could hear words of "jia yu...jia yu" which we happily acknowledged with a smile. We continued to push on after Jiufun with further climbs, where we met many cyclists on both ends, seems to be very popular training roads for the locals cyclists like our back home Genting Sempah or Ulu langat rides. At the top of the hill, there is a resting place where most of the cyclists gathered and rest before the great downhill to another town where we ordered a big bowl of beef noodle soup as our lunch and drink in 7-11. After 2 days of camping,we agree to stay in a budget hotel in Fulung, the room cost NTD 1200 with a double and a single bed, we took a walk around the town comes with a beautiful beach.
