The weather is getting hotter and hotter as I cycled deeper into the south and losing in elevation. It has not been a single day of rain since I started cycling . The roads was dry with lots of powdery dust made worst by many bulldozers doing the repair after the 88 typhoon. Jiasian was one of the badly hit area. Cars pilling on this road still allow to pass but were often stopped queing to allow construction to carry out .This has largely affected my overall distance . Met 2 mtb cyclists in Beiliau and was treated to a free lunch of fried rice with shrinks and a bowl of fish ball soup . A very uneventful day with no great scenery, decided to call it a day early than usual in a not so good campsite, a flat piece of land cleared for dumping construction materials.

                                                               A beautiful temple but.....

                                                             Where are all the tourists......?

A bulldozer rushing to beat the completion dateline

All vehicles were brought to a temporary halt

Drivers and passengers getting down to get some fresh air on this dusty road

                                                               Approaching in Jiasian

                                                                 Not so good campsite
