Our flight schedule to Taoyuan Airport is 10 am,so Tony decided to put up a night with me so we could leave together early by 6 am.Many thanks to Pang Wey and Huey Ming for sending us to Lcct at this early hour. After a short breakfast of Roti bawan,Nasi lemak and teh tarik at Sri Melor,we took the plus highway and arrived Lcct by 8am,Wey and Huey Ming decided to head home straight to their beds while we push our bike boxes and luggages to the check in counter. We purchased 20kg for our sport equipments for Rm85 each and another 20kg check in luggage for Rm65,so total is Rm150 one way.Everything went smooth except the plane was 30 minutes delay in queue to take off. The flight landed in Taoyuan Airport 3.30pm.We boarded the bus for NTD125 and the bike NTD65 to go to the Taipei Main Station about 45 min journey. By the time we arrived there already 5.30pm,but surprisingly unlike Malaysia, is already getting dark,so without wasting anythime, we quickly set up our bikes at one corner. This is no easy job if your bike is a recumbent,it required certain techniques to do the job.By the time we completed,it was nearly 7.40pm,a solid 2 hr of hard work under empty stomach. Our warmshower Rod Lin was not in his apartment to receive us due to holidaying but willing to host us by leaving the house keys to one of his friend,Argon Huang. Call him with a local man mobile, and within 20 min he was with us,and he suggested the best way to go to Rod's apartment is to push ours bikes for 40min for a distance of 3.5km in the dark, not complaining at least we had a place to stay.We requested Argon to bring us a nice place to ease our hungry stomach,so he brought us to a popular hawker rice shop and it was indeed very satisfactory. Tony especially kept saying "it was Good...it was Good" and happily taken a few pictures of the dishes. We had to unload our panniers and carry our bikes up a narrow staircase to Rod's apartment on 2nd floor.Argon left after passing the keys and we have the whole apartment to ourselves, small in size with only one room but we are very thankful to Rod.We quickly settled down with a hot bath and changed our smelly clothing, we went down the nearest 7-11 to buy drinking water and then called it a day.A day full of fun and sweat.
