Woke up at 5.30 from a very good night sleep, breakfast of maggie mee and bidding goodbye to Mr Lim who is the care taker of the community hall ,the time already 8.10am when we started our ride.Following the coastal road with very strong head wind that slow us down. We saw a beautiful structure near the sea called Shimen Arch, where the rock was in a shape of an arch with a passage or hole facing the sea. There are wooden staircase on each side to reach the top for a 360 degree view of the sea and mountain. We did a bit of detour to YangMinShan and a tough climb to 330m,and decided to make a U turn as the sky is threatening to rain, we raced down back to the town of Jinshan for lunch of mixed rice NTD60 and also have a rest stop at the 7-11 for stocking up our drinks. Today's highlight is definitely belongs to Yeliu geopark, another tourist attraction where we took lots of pictures of the beautiful rock that were formed naturally by the sea wave, never in my life had seen such beautiful rock. From here, our next big city is Keelung which is only 11 km away. The rain started to pour and we were forced to take shelter several times, our bodies and cloths were wet and still we were stubbond to put on our rain coat. After a hard time getting out of the city,we finally back to route 2 to Rueifan, plan to find a budget hotel was unsuccessful, even a try on a church came to nothing as was told the pastor is still sleeping ,the search for a place to stay continues,as darkness is looming close at 5pm. Some nice people always came to the rescue at the right time, one shopowner saw us looking lost ,so he approach us to offer help, and he told us we can stay a night at the temple which is about 200m away. When we saw the temple and immediately we decided to stay here ,whatsmore we can have our cold shower and a roof on top of our head.
