Today is definitely one of my bad day.My body is weak, feel like whole body very soft, just not my usual self.I can really sense that when we started riding, the bike with the usaul stuffs suddenly felt so heavy, even with my lightest gear.I suspected the reason could be from the slip at the stream where i was taking a self timer shot,my butt landed on a flat rock, and i still can feel the pain whenever i sit, hopefully nothing serious. Today we started the ride into the Taroko Gorge, this is the only road that links Taiwan from East to West. The altitude at the entrance is 60m,the road is winding and narrow,as we slowly crank our way up,the road cuts thru the rock cliffs with many tunnels, and deep down from the road,is the river flowing down from the mountain. The view is gorgeous,as we stop many times for photos.Tony saw my condition,as i was trailling him most of the time,we decided it will be a short ride.We saw one rest stop with camping facilities called Heliu campground,it cost NTD 200 for a raised wooden platform, just more than enough to fit our 2 tents. One disappointment is they don't allow charging of batteries. The early rest hopefully will charge me up for tomorrow.
