Today's ride started at 8 with a little drizzling rain coupled with the rain yesterday,this makes the road surface a little wet, but soon we got comfortable with it and started to love the cooling weather instead of hot sweating sun.The route 9 is pretty much straight up north along the coast and running parallel to the train line.Sometimes you will see the train line running above and sometimes it is under,depending on the terrain.Overall quite a relax and enjoyable ride to Taitung. We arrived rather early in Taitung about 1.30pm where we were promised by Mr Chang for his friend's accommodation,but we could not get hold of him thru his mobile phone.So went hunting for a place to stay on our own.Tony also bought another 2 spare tubes and chain lube when we saw a Giant bikeshop.Taitung may look a big town,but surprisingly not many hotels .We thought the Police Station might be able to help, but we were laughing to oursleves when we went to the hotel that the Police recommended, supposed to be one of the cheapest,when i reluctantly went in for enquiry, the cheapest room NTD 1800 is way out of our budget.Eventually our hunting effort paid off in a nice big comfortable room for NTD 1000 of National Army Heroic Hotel. We have some daylight wonder in town for dinner and also our feel good supper of steam claypot ginger mother duck for only NTD 280

Taimali got one famous train station where you will see best view of the ocean. That Beef noodle store was famous with 4 daughters managing the shop and they are all universities graduated.
